Hi! We’re Ashley and Colleen, and we love to throw a good party. We met on a roller skating date when we were 6 and 7 years old, and have been friends ever since. Our shared love of fine stationery, sealing wax and etiquette began while working together at a stationery shop in high school. To this day, our fierce competition for the most impeccably wrapped gift continues. The jury’s still out on that one.
Ashley danced through college at CSU Long Beach, while sewing as a costume technician for the dance department. After graduation, she shifted her artistic sensibilities to suit the hospitality industry. From restaurant and catering management to large scale concert productions, Ashley has overseen events on every level. She’s directed weddings, bridal and baby showers, anniversary celebrations, corporate holiday parties, rehearsal dinners, and birthday brunches. Her industry event experience includes productions at Staples Center, The Shrine Auditorium, El Rey Theater, The Henry Fonda Theater, and The Hollywood Bowl. Ashley’s international event experience includes her own wedding on the French Riviera.
Colleen knew exactly where she was heading after graduating from the University of Arizona—the fast-paced, and meticulously detailed world of event planning. Organized and focused, her career has spanned both corporate industry-type event planning as well as creative and intimate affairs. Over the years, her events have included weddings, mitzvahs, galas, holiday parties, corporate functions, birthday parties, anniversary parties, baptisms, celebrations of life, movie screenings, premieres, even golf tournaments. Colleen’s peerless resume includes management positions at the prestigious Westlake Village Inn, Walt Disney Studios, Beverly Hills Country Club, and Four Seasons Hotel.
Our careers in catering realigned a few years at The Westlake Village Inn, where our budding ideas took shape for what has flourished into Coco Rose Events. Now stop reading. Let’s get planning. It’s party time.
